MACK #102: 1977

Hey there everyone! For today’s episode we decided to highlight the year 1977!

We chat about Billboard’s top ten singles of the year which garners a confession from Dave regarding one artist in particular. I had no idea he harbored such ill-will for this person!

We also discuss the top ten movies from 1977. There’s one movie on the list that we didn’t even know existed. We were both pretty shocked that it was in the top ten box office hits that year. And which movie did Dave like better than the huge hit at number one? Well, it’s this one. That’s our Dave!

From there we move on to television — 70s television was so fun, probably because it was so NOT pc. Those really were the days. Again we talk about the top 10 shows of the year. Dave gets a little disappointed when his favorites don’t make the cut.

And finally, we go over some of the top news events of the year. There is one news item in particular I have a hard time wrapping my head around. I know I can’t be the only one! Perhaps we’ll cover that in a future Conspiracies episode.

There are lots of clips and songs in this one, and of course a lot of Dave’s opinions on everything too.

If you’ve missed our past Year Review episodes you may want to go back and listen to them. We’ve done one for 1966 and one for 1985.

Thanks for listening!
